One almost wants a human foot peeking out from under the cloth-- perhaps another at an impossible angle from the other/glass/window side.
Detail good; idea good-- are the two lefthand corners pronlematic? I mean, if the lower left is the reflected head of the dog running off on the lower -right-, then isn't the glass/window facing the wrong way? If if if.
Palette best. Threads and ground second. The seeming etch/scratchwork on the red dog, third.
Well, I think I have to tell you what I painted in this picture. I did a mirror leaning on a table covered with a cloth, so, the rectangular isn't the stuff you said. So, a white stuff under the cloth isn't human toe, but just a pattern of floor. And as answering your last question, why do you think spirits have to be reflected in a mirror as usual reflections? In this point, I don't think just-copying-reality isn't the most important point.

And so it is glass-- tho why say 'mirror' expecting it to remain a 'mirror' while at once not sticking to the reality of a mirror? The animals are all it really reflects, you see, and so the single [set of three] line becomes Cubist, in a very minimal, nearly scarring way. It's a difficult picture to rationalize, tho I am glad it's not impossible, and that it does have its logic.
I like it, I do-- but I like Tiny Anatomy better. ;]

Yes, it does have its logic, cuz it is one of a reflection of my world just like your world. However, I prefer this one cuz Tiny Anatomy doesn't reflect my feeling perfectly.

I am glad you are not easily offended by another sense of eyes.
Paint like this now, and one can only imagine what you'll be doing in twenty years.
And that's a good thought.
